How we handle gutter guards

Clear and check the gutters first
A guard fitted over a packed gutter traps the problem instead of preventing it. The trough is cleared and the downspouts confirmed running before anything goes on.

Check the gutter is worth guarding
If the run is sagging or badly pitched, a guard does not fix it. That is worth knowing before you pay for one.

Fit the micro mesh
The mesh is fixed along the length of the run, screwed to the gutter lip rather than wedged under the shingles. Nothing is lifted or slid beneath the roofing.

Confirm the water still gets in
A guard that keeps water out as well as debris is worse than no guard. Each run is tested before we leave.
