Southridge sits on the bench in the south of Prince George, near College Heights, and is one of the newer residential areas in the city.

Newer housing means steeper roofs built to shed snow, and that is the defining technical feature. A steep roof sheds its load rather than holding it, which is much better for the structure, and it means everything that comes off arrives in the gutter below at once.
